A standard kitchen stove is a mass-produced, $600 appliance that simply slides into a gap. A luxury 48-inch Professional Range—such as a Wolf, Viking, Thermador, or La Cornue—is a $10,000 to $30,000 culinary engine. When a high-end range breaks down, swapping it out is a massive architectural headache. These heavy-duty units are wedged perfectly between custom cabinetry, with countertops and backsplashes cut to exact millimeter clearances. Standardizing a new brand means the gas line alignments won’t match, and the new unit may leave gaping holes in your granite or require a carpenter to shave down your cabinets. Expert, component-level repair is the only economical way to avoid a destructive kitchen renovation.
Luxury dual-fuel ranges combine the brute force of commercial gas manifolds with the highly sensitive electronics of European convection ovens. This creates complex failure points. Inside the gas oven, heavy-duty bake igniters slowly degrade over thousands of cycles; if the igniter fails to pull exactly 3.2 amps of electrical current, the magnetic gas safety valve will refuse to open, leaving the oven completely cold. On the stovetop, liquid boil-overs short-circuit the high-voltage spark modules, causing the surface burners to click continuously even after the flame is lit.
Tell us the brand and what’s happening — oven glowing but not heating, surface burners clicking endlessly, digital control board completely black, or convection fan rattling — and we’ll dispatch a technician, typically within 24 hours. Most range repairs are completed on the first visit and backed by our unmatched two-year parts-and-labor warranty.

What is the difference between a Stove and a Range?
In everyday language, they are the same thing. However, in the high-end culinary industry, a “Range” refers to a unified appliance featuring both a cooking surface (burners) and a baking cavity (oven) below it. A “Cooktop” is just the burner surface dropped into a counter, and a “Wall Oven” is just the baking cavity built into the cabinets. At UAR, we service the entire spectrum of luxury cooking appliances.
Why is my gas oven glowing bright orange, but not getting hot?
This is the classic symptom of a weak bake igniter. To prevent your kitchen from filling with raw gas, luxury ovens use a bi-metal gas safety valve. The igniter must heat up and draw a very specific electrical current (usually 3.2 amps) to signal the valve to open. Over time, the igniter degrades. It will still glow orange, but it cannot pull enough amps. The valve stays locked, and the oven remains completely cold until the igniter is professionally replaced.
Why are my stove's surface burners clicking continuously?
If the burners continue to click rapidly after the flame is already lit (or even when the stove is turned off), the high-voltage spark module has short-circuited. This is usually caused by moisture from a liquid boil-over or heavy ambient humidity becoming trapped underneath the brass burner caps. The electrical current grounds out, tricking the system into thinking the flame has blown out. The burner manifold must be disassembled, dried, and the spark module replaced.
Why did the digital display on my dual-fuel range suddenly go black?
Modern luxury dual-fuel ranges feature heavy-duty gas cooktops paired with sophisticated electric ovens controlled by digital User Interface (UI) boards. If your home experiences a power grid micro-surge, the sudden voltage spike easily bypasses standard breakers and fries the main control board. The gas burners may still work manually, but the electric oven is totally unresponsive until an appliance engineer replaces the corrupted motherboard.
