What is your standard diagnostic fee?
Our diagnostic fee is $145.00. However, this fee is fully waived when you proceed with a repair — so you only pay for the fix, not the visit.
Where is Uptown Appliance Repair located?

What areas in Texas do you serve?
We serve the greater Houston metro area and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area. If you're unsure whether your address falls within our range, give us a call or check our service areas page.
Do you service residential and commercial appliances?
Yes — we repair appliances in private homes, apartment complexes, restaurants, hospitality properties, and corporate campuses. Current commercial partners include DaVita dialysis centers, Landry's hospitality group, and Rice University.
Service & Warranty
Do you offer a warranty on appliance repairs?
Yes. Every completed repair is backed by our exclusive 2-year parts and labor warranty — one of the longest in the industry. If the same issue recurs within two years of service, we come back and fix it at no additional charge.
My appliance is still having problems after a repair. What should I do?
Please call us at (281) 758-9978 to schedule a warranty appointment. You can also email support@uptownappliancerepair.com or use the contact form. We prioritize warranty callbacks and will respond within one business hour during normal hours.
I just paid my deposit — how long until my appliance is repaired?
Standard parts typically arrive within 2–3 business days. Special-order or discontinued parts may take 7–10 business days. Once parts are confirmed in, we schedule your installation appointment for the following business day. Our team will keep you updated throughout.
Do you use genuine OEM parts or aftermarket substitutes?
We source exclusively from factory-certified vendors or directly from the manufacturer. If a part is discontinued, our certified partner remanufactures it to spec. We never use aftermarket substitutes on premium appliances.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Do you offer same-day or next-day service?
We do our best to accommodate urgent requests. Same-day availability depends on technician scheduling in your area. Call us directly for the fastest answer — we can usually give you a same-day or next-day window.
How does pricing work?
Every service begins with a $145 diagnostic visit (waived with repair). Once our technician identifies the issue, we provide a flat-price quote for parts and labor before any work begins. You only approve work you're comfortable with — there are no surprise charges.

Do you repair commercial-grade ice machines and freezers?
Yes. We service commercial ice machine brands including Hoshizaki, Scotsman, Ice-O-Matic, and True Refrigeration, in addition to residential units.

Which wine cellar cooling brands do you service?
Why is wine cellar repair different from standard refrigerator repair?
A wine cellar cooling system is engineered to maintain precise temperature (typically 55–65°F) and humidity (60–70% RH) without the aggressive fan cycles that harm wine. These units use purpose-built compressors, vibration-dampening mounts, and climate controllers that differ substantially from standard refrigeration — requiring technicians trained specifically on this equipment.
My wine cellar is running but the temperature is drifting. Is that a service call?
Yes, and it's worth addressing early. Temperature drift is commonly caused by a failing thermistor, refrigerant loss, door-seal failure, or a clogged condenser coil — all straightforward repairs when caught before compressor damage occurs. Call us for a diagnostic visit.
